Write to info@digosoft.de. It helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, the version of Tacho (at the bottom of the app's settings) and a short description of what you expected to happen. Replies usually arrive within two working days.

Requirements
- An iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
- Location access. Without it the app can only show zero.
- No internet connection needed; the app works entirely offline.
The speed jumps or does not match the vehicle
The reading comes from satellite positioning, not from the vehicle. In tunnels, in narrow streets between tall buildings, under dense trees and in the first seconds after starting, the position is imprecise, and the speed derived from it fluctuates accordingly. A vehicle speedometer also tends to read slightly high for legal reasons. Tacho does not replace it.
Why does the app ask for background location
So that distance keeps counting while the iPhone is locked or another app is in front, for example while cycling with the device in a pocket. If you would rather not, grant location access only while using the app; the speed reading still works, but distance is only counted while the app is visible.
Where is my data
On your device. The app transmits nothing and has no network access. It stores only your settings and the legs of your trip. Both disappear completely when you delete the app. The details are in the privacy policy.
The battery drains quickly
Continuous positioning costs energy and there is no way around that. Tacho lowers the accuracy automatically when your speed allows it. Keeping the screen awake costs noticeably more on top of that; the switch for it is at the bottom left and is the first one to turn off when in doubt.
Purchase, invoice and refunds
The purchase runs through the App Store, where your contract is with Apple. Invoices, returns and refunds are therefore handled by Apple rather than by us, through reportaproblem.apple.com or your purchase history in the App Store.
Reporting a bug or suggesting something
Both are welcome by email. Reproducible bugs come first, so please describe what you did, what happened and what you expected instead.
